LeggoMyDiego friended her that evening on Discord. “Was this her Diego?” she wondered aloud. Sansara confirmed it, making her smile. She would do her utmost for him, she thought. But, then again, she thought that of every new person she spoke to. Her office hours were limited to eight hours a day and she was finding splitting them up between morning and evening was for the best, giving her a nice window of time to make food in the middle of the day.
She accepted the friend request and sent her formal hello: Greetings and Salutations. Any gamer should know it was from Might & Magic. She’d heard that guy greet shopkeepers over 10,000 times as her father played it religiously in her youth, finding new ways to collect dragon bits and otherwise become insanely rich and powerful in the game.
And, just like her, he’d jump out of his seat half the time while fighting the Big Bad Guy(TM). She quit musing about that, whimpering a little as she felt her soul brush up against Diego’s. He was writing his first message.
Diego: Hello. How are you today?
Super_Fox#8529: I’m well, thank you. How about you?
Diego: I’m okay… I just got your card from a friend of mine. It says you’re a life coach, but he directed me to you for therapy’s sake. Is that a service that you provide? How can I pay you for it?
Super_Fox#8259: I am not a licensed therapist but I am happy to speak with you over matters of great import, emotions, healing, and matters of the heart. If you choose to, you may donate to my Patreon account here: https://www.patreon.com/ssolsinger. I wish to reach as many people as possible on every level possible. If there is a God, I wish to further His goals.
Diego: You don’t believe in God but you would further His goals?
Super_Fox#8259: He seems like a great guy, from all accounts and recollections. Why not?
Diego shook his head, staring at the screen of his buddy’s computer. The person on the other side was already proving to be a character. He thought about how the lady he’d lived with for eight months was a character, too. It could be the same person, after all, he thought.
Super_Fox#8259: You didn’t instant message me to talk about God, though, did you?
Diego: No, but now I want to because you brought it up.
Super_Fox#8259: Everyone asks me why I’m donations-based. I was answering the question preemptively.
Diego: I see. My heart is heavy today, Sansara.
Super_Fox#8259: Why’s that, Diego?
Diego: I’m in love with a woman who assaulted me with a katana when I tried to do the right thing and move out because I was losing control of myself. I’ve been sleeping on a friend’s couch for months now, trying to figure out what I should do next.
Super_Fox#8259: Have you tried reaching out to her? Also, she probably should not have assaulted you with a katana. You can take legal action against her for that, not to mention it could be traumatizing.
Just then, Diego felt his hands turn on. He was being healed. It had to be her, there was no doubt left in his mind. Although, the healing wasn’t as powerful as before. Maybe it wasn’t her at all. It could be just another reiki healer, he mused. He relaxed, either way. If it was her, she was telling him he had ground for legal action, which indicated she felt remorse. He couldn’t take the woman of his dreams to court, he thought.
Super_Fox#8259: I’m sending good vibes your direction, LeggoMyDiego.
Diego: Thanks… I can tell, actually. It’s really kind of you. Do you do this for everyone?
Super_Fox#8259: The Universe(TM) decides who shall be healed and when it shall be done.
Diego thought about that. He couldn’t remember Crystal/Sansara mentioned The Universe(TM) at all in their talks. He bit his lip and kept on typing, pretty convinced it wasn’t the same woman and it was a cosmic coincidence.
Diego: That’s interesting… maybe we can talk about that later, after we talk about what’s bugging me?
Super_Fox#8259: We can talk about anything you want to.
Diego gulped, wishing he hadn’t decided this wasn’t his woman. He’d like to type all those naughty thoughts up for her. He decided to share a song with the mysterious entity.
Diego: This is how I feel about that woman with a katana. I’m never going to take her to court. I want to walk her down the aisle. I want to marry her.
Super_Fox#8259: Have you ever asked her what she wants?
Diego: No, but I told her I want to marry her. I hope I made it clear that I wished she would tell me what she wanted in return.
Super_Fox#8259: Unfortunately, some people don’t get implied questions from declarative statements, Diego. (Is it okay I use Diego instead of your full screen name, by the way?)
Diego: Sure.
Diego: You mean she might not know I want her to tell me what she wants?
Super_Fox#8259: That’s exactly what I’m saying. It sounds like you parted ways on rocky soil, though, so she may not be entirely receptive to you if you take the wrong approach. A letter, either physical or digital, might be for the best. A forum where you can put all your thoughts into one concise message and deliver it, in order to lighten your own heart. It’ll be up to her if she reads it, of course, and if she ever responds to it.
Super_Fox#8259: Two wrongs don’t make a right, but three rights make a left.
Super_Fox#8259: In other words, something is wrong with the way you communicate with each other, so don’t hold back in your letter. Write everything you ever thought or felt, get it all down on paper. If it doesn’t sound like a marriage proposal, scrap it and start over. Once you have this fine piece of art created, give it to her and wait. The ball will be in her court. It will be her choice. Some women abhor control and your behavior and actions might have come across as controlling, no matter how you feel or what you’ve said or what you do. Sensitive souls can see coercion in innocent remarks, if they’re looking hard enough.
Diego sat back, astonished. He’d never thought of it that way. The perception of what he did and said to her being skewed on her side somehow. He felt like a heel, blaming himself 100% for everything up to this point.
Sansara smiled. “Yup, that’s done it. He was blaming himself for everything when it takes two to tango,” she told Crystal. “I really do think he’ll write you a letter, dear.”
Diego: Thank you… that’s a lot to think about and consider. Can I run something by you?
Super_Fox#8259: Sure.
Diego: Her ex showed up while I was living with her, carrying a bunch of red roses. He was uninvited, that much was for certain. She was really out of sorts or scared regarding him dropping in unexpectedly for months. So much so, she never left the house. She even gave me her car keys and let me drive her car to and from work. Do you think she was agitated because he showed up without permission or do you think there’s something deeper at play?
Super_Fox#8259: Every woman is different, Diego, but I’m willing to bet he’s an ex for a reason. Did you ever ask her why they broke up?
Diego: No… I really should have, huh?
Super_Fox#8259: I’d start writing a letter, if I was you. I’ll be here for another hour if you want more guidance. Tomorrow, I’ll be around from 8 am to noon, then 4 pm to 8 pm. That’s my daily schedule, actually, so feel free to hit me up.
Diego: Thanks, Crystal. You’re a life saver.
Super_Fox#8259: What flavor?
Diego: Orange, I think.
Super_Fox#8259: Splendid! Now get writing, bro.
Suddenly, Diego was rethinking it all. This definitely could be his future lady he was talking to. She’d ignored being called Sansara, so he wasn’t completely sure. He decided to open up Word and start typing everything he thought and felt for his woman, re-reading his conversation with Sansara several times to incorporate her advice.
